Did You Meme That?

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Here we will consider various memes collected from the internet.  Some very absurd things are posted in memes, but the really amazing part is how many times some of those things are shared and passed on. We will look at the ones that are not as blatantly ridiculous, and so are harder to discern. I suspect all of us have, without realizing it, shared or "liked" memes (or quotes) that said things we really didn't mean or that were contrary to the word of God. As Christians, we need to think about what we say and share in social media and on our blogs since we are representing Jesus Christ.

We'll also be looking at some memes that have more useful messages. Some memes do give us something worthwhile, but sometimes, in the overload of information, we miss the point or don't stop to ponder it. The fast pace of social media is not geared toward contemplation of ideas.

Some of these link to my blog, so please hit the back button on your browser to come back here. :-)
