A few more marchings weary,
Then we'll gather home!
A few more storm clouds dreary,
Then we'll gather home!
A few more days the cross to bear,
And then with Christ a crown to wear;
A few more marchings weary,
Then we'll gather home!
A few more nights of weeping,
Then we'll gather home!
A few more days of reaping,
Then we'll gather home!
A few more nights to watch and pray,
And then will come that better day,
A few more marchings weary,
Then we'll all be home!
A few more sweet links broken,
Then we'll gather home!
A few more kind words spoken,
Then we'll gather home!
A few more partings on this strand,
And then away to Glory land:
A few more martchings weary,
Then we'll gather home!

2 Timothy
2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness,
as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No man
that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs
of this life; that he may please him who
hath chosen him to be a soldier.
