Morning Sickness

Morning sickness is a very good sign during pregnancy. Not having any is a subtle sign that something is wrong.

Generally we get morning, evening and sick all the time because our body is sending all the nutrients that we eat to the little one and there is not enough for us. My recommendation to all moms to be is eat a little more protein with their meal. Try to stay away from empty carb meals. Do not eat or drink anything in the morning until you have had a very good breakfast. Cheese, eggs, meat, peanuts. Something like that. Even brushing your teeth first can cause you to get sick.

By the way, eating a better diet may also help your hair during pregnancy.

And carry whatever kind of nuts you like around with you in your purse or a pocket and munch on them all day long.

That nauseous feeling will go away if your diet is better.

Tami adds for bad cases: Eat the protein before you even lift your head in the morning, even if you have to drag it across the pillow.

Another lady says that saltines eaten as soon as she woke up helped settle her stomach.

Ginger is a great help for nausea of many kinds, including morning sickness. You can make a tea with hot water, ginger powder to taste and sugar to taste. Add powdered cloves for a numbing effect in the stomach. Also, ginger Altoids are now available. These are great for carrying along in your purse or pocket. (Note: ginger is good for other kinds of stomach complaints as well, and also for motion sickness.)
